Artists who influenced Willem van Nieulandt the Younger![]() | Van Nieulandt was born in Antwerp, and moved with his family to Amsterdam about 1588. He may have studied with Jacob Savory. In 1602 he moved to Rome and worked under Paul Bril. Returning to Antwerp, where in 1605 he became a master in the painters guild, Van Nieuwland made a career as an artist, poet and dramatist.
