Artists who influenced Jürgen Ovens![]() | Danish painter and draughtsman, active in the Netherlands. According to Houbraken, he was a pupil of Rembrandt’s, and to this mistaken report he owes a great deal of his renown. It is possible that Ovens was trained in Holland, but he must also have been in Flanders, possibly as a pupil of Jan Lievens, who had been residing in Antwerp since 1635.
